Open House for Prisk Elementary School Native Garden (April 5, 2009)
For the past 15 years Mike Letteriello has volunteered his time and considerable talent tending a small patch of paradise that was carved out of the school yard asphalt.
Tidy tips, lupines, poppies and other California wildflowers delight hummingbirds, bees and butterflies, as well as people.
Lots of people enjoyed the Open House Sunday afternoon.
National Wildlife Federation Certified Habitat sign lets people know what the critters sense.
Easy to come, but hard to leave.
