My November 17th posting showed this garden from its start in 2002 until April 2007. In the picture below, Milo and I are enjoying it on November 13, 2008. The red berries are hanging on a toyon , also called Christmas berry (Heteromeles arbutifolia), and the vine on the left side of the picture, in front of the toyon, is Roger’s Red grape (Vitis ‘Roger’s Red).

Thought I’d also share another great garden critter. The mantid, or praying mantis, below was inside my garage when I came home from work. I love the way these insects camoflage with their surroundings.
