Lazy Woman’s Garden

I was all set to write about how I finally used up the last of the Meyer lemons but instead I spent some time taking pictures in the yard. (Yes I did use them up – preserved Meyer lemons. More about that later.) I am happy to report the garden is doing well with not too much help from me. Still pinching some sages and pulling a few weeds, but never breaking a sweat.

I’d be sitting on this bench but it isn’t quite finished. Thought I’d move it outside so the wood could weather in and darken.

Toyon (Heteromeles arbutifolia) berries still holding on – amazing! Nice combo with the Claremont pink-flowering currant (Ribes sanguineum var. glutinosum ‘Claremont’).

Milo is so happy we are back from our weekend getaway. He didn’t like the rain and really didn’t like being left, but he has a short memory. Thank you, Drew and Alice, for petsitting.
