Good to be home

So nice to be home after a couple of weeks in the big city, NYC. Was there with family for my daughter’s and niece’s college graduations, one in the city and the other outside Philadelphia. As cliché as it sounds, one of the nicest things about going away is coming home. Milo and Isabelle (dog and cat) gave me a super welcome. I thought Milo was going to have a heart attack, the way he was shaking. Who else lives only for your company! And the garden looks and smells so nice.

This morning I made a simple breakfast of Swiss chard, spinach and coriander flowers sauteed with an egg. Delicious! We had some amazing food in and around the city, but this is heavenly in its simplicity. More posts about my trip to come.

Chopped the chard stems and sauteed them first. Added the leaves, and finally an egg. Gently scrambled and voila!
