Although I haven’t had time to change the “What to Do in the Garden” section of my Weedinig Wild Suburbia blog, it is definitely not time to: Sit in a comfortable chair with a glass of iced tea!
Get up, out of that chair! Plant sales are starting and I am excited to tell you about one that my friends and colleagues at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden are running this Saturday, September 25, 2010, at their new westside location, Grow Native Nursery – West. RSABG members sale opens at 9 AM, general public at 11 AM – 4 PM.
More to come on plant sales featuring California native plants…
No iced tea here! We're busier than ever, especially as fall is prime native planting season. We have an upcoming CNPS plant sale in a couple of weeks, and zillions of annual natives to sow…but first…beating back the weeds, and soil prep!
I'm a bit late but not too bad for Southern California. We have a forecast of triple digits for the next 5-6 days so other than soaking some herbs early in the day, the garden will have to wait.
Ah well, I'm doing my buying, but I'll wait until the first good soaking rain before I plant. I'd need a pickax to get a hole into the clay.
