Native Plant Gardening (SP Library – online event)
Oct 13, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In this free Zoom lecture, presenter Barbara Eisenstein will explain why California native plants are good for the environment and our health, and how to go about incorporating them into our gardens.
It has been a rough year. The pandemic forced people to stay at home for months on end. One of the unexpected bright spots is that many people realized that their gardens can provide solace and comfort. If you are one of these people, you will not want to miss this talk.
The lecture will be kept short to allow plenty of time for Q&A.
Presenter: Barbara Eisenstein is the author of Wild Suburbia – Learning to Garden with Native Plants (Heyday Books, 2016). She started and leads the community volunteer group, Friends of the South Pasadena Nature Park, and is on the Board of the San Gabriel Mt. Chapter of California Native Plant Society.
