1. Great shots! Thanks for sharing these. They seem very cooperative for you.

What kind of lens and setup are you using to get these macro shots?

 2. Thanks for your comment. The dragonfly was extremely cooperative. It would sit on the flower stem then fly around for a short bit, only to alight on the bud again. I used a Nikon D70s with a Nikon 105mm lens. No vibration reduction in lens or camera, and my tripod is broken, so I steadied it with a monopod. By the way, I really like your blog – especially the local nature of it.

 3. Barbara, amazing photos. What camera/lens are you using?

 4. Thanks for the compliment. As you can see in the comment above, I use a Nikon D70s with a 105mm lens.

 5. Hi Barbara, these are excellent shots. I simply loved the details. I've been shooting a great deal of insects too. May, and now June, have been full of all kinds of bugs and it's wonderful just seeing them around you. Btw, the lizard is stunning!

 6. Dear Kanak, Thank you. Yes the insects are truly amazing. The dragonfly here in California looks just like the one on your blog banner in India. Amazing, isn't it! Have a great day.
